Artist - Christine Cafarella-Pearce Profile

Christine Cafarella-Pearce, a Healesville based artist, has developed a distinctive technique for her paint application which is as unique as her sense of colour and design. She has her own artspace in her studio/gallery and paints landscape, genre, people in action and more. Christine, a multi award winning artist won the AGRA Australian Art Excellence Award Gold Medallion 2010, Winner Yarra Glen art Show 2010, 2009 St Kevin’s Art show, and the 2009 Camberwell Rotary Deans Encouragement Award for Oil. She has won over 30 prizes and has received numerous mentions for her work.

Christine illustrated Kate Wilson’s children’s bushfire recovery books “Black Saturday was my dad’s birthday”, and “Can we go home now?”

Christine studied Tonal Realism at Vic Arts from about 1988 till 1990 and considers this teaching to be the basis of her artistic development. She is constantly exploring ways to push her art further whilst still retaining essence and integrity in her work.

Christine is a member and ex-councillor of AGRA, a member of Sherbrooke Art Society, Heart Gallery- Healesville Art Alliance, and is a founding Member of Valley 10.

Christine is an experienced tutor, judge, workshop tutor and demonstrator and will travel widely to share her skills.
